A child heart

a monster face.

The secret of life 

they wanted to embrace.

With dead bodies, arms and legs

they sewed them, all together

so you could take shape.

" Energy, bring him to life!!!"
They yelled from the dark.

A ray of light came down to earth
and in his brain was born a spark.

a pawn in a wicked game.

I walk through the streets,

the moon paints me with its light.

Tattoos appear on my skin,

stories of my past life.

Term 1 comes to an end...

Here you have a progress reel with the animations I've been working this last term. It has gone so fast that I can't believe it. I've learned and worked a lot, there are so many things to learn and I'm just in the beginning of the race!! 


It has been a wonderful experience. It's so great to be surrounded by animators that work on animated films you go to cinema to enjoy. Listen to their critiques ( there's no better way to learn ), feedback and have great classmates...I couldn't have done this without you.


Thanks for these months and in a few weeks we'll be back with much more.

This is an old sketch I painted in 2006 and I wanted to share it with you. I don't know the reason why, but it's one of my favorites from those days.

Little Moon-Boy

Little Moon-Boy wanted to reach and touch a star,

But he couldn't; he hadn't even a single arm.

Luna

Luna altiva, brillante y soñadora.  Me enredo entre mis fantasías y tus cabellos.  


Luna amante, egoista y niña. Juegas con mi reflejo mientras recojo los pétalos del camino.


Luna traidora. Ya no puedo escapar.

Double Bounce walk cycle

So, here we are again with another walk cycle, but this time with our new friend Norman. This is a Double bounce cycle, or at least that's what I tried to. I really had a great time doing this one, trying to get smooth moves ( Arcs, our friend ;P ) and listening what Norman felt. It's so important.
About the background it's a very simple one. I have no idea about rendering...


Needless to say, I'm just a begginer in this magic world, and you know what ? It's a mind-blowing experience.

Blue Monster

En cualquier momento puede aparecer un monstruo azul y comerse tu corazón.

Walk Cycles

Walk cycle. easy? simple ? really? are you serious ? I don`t think so. This was first time that I had to face with this character; extremes, contacts, passing position and try to get on well with the curves ( green, red, blue - I love you ).
Here you can see the results.  Here I am, step by step...









And here we have the second one. This time I had to make a 360º turn while this ball with 2 legs ( sometimes at night he comes to visit me ) was walking along the way. I'm not quite satisfied with the final result because this is not what I had in mind at first. But that what it is, and I won't stop trying. Yeehaa !!!!!!!!
